Applications are invited for a qualified and experienced Fitter who will be responsible for assembling, maintaining and repairing the mechanical system, components and ensuring they operate efficiently and safely, by fitting parts together, troubleshooting malfunctions and performing routine maintenance.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing the following duties which include but are not limited to the following:
- Perform maintenance and repair work on mechanical system and equipment.
- Read and interpret technical, schematic and hydraulic drawings.
- Use hand and power tools to cut, shape and fit materials.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time.
- Verification of required processing parameters.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong attention to details.
The minimum requirements for this position are:
- Matric and a RED Seal Certificate.
- At least 5 years’ experience in Hydraulic.
- Experience in Welding and Fabrication.
- Proven experience as a Fitter or similar role.
- Must have a Passport, Driver’s License, Willing to travel and be able to work independently.
- Willing to do a standby and Call Out, own transport and own Toolbox.
