An exciting opportunity has become available at Crabtree Wadeville for a Fitter, reporting to the Department Foreman. A Fitter plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation and quality of the products within the organization and promoting a culture of safety.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
- To assemble, maintain and repair the mechanical systems, components and ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.
- Fitting parts together, troubleshooting malfunctions, perform routine maintenance.
- Read and interpret technical, Hydraulic drawings, Schematics and Hydraulic experience.
- Use hand and power tools to cut, shape and fit materials.
- Adherence to Safety standards.
- Communication with engineering/management.
- House Keeping.
- Perform shift hand over. Organize and prioritize to meet objectives.
- Time management.
- Prioritize and enforce health and safety protocols.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Hydraulic experience min 5 years.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Experience in Injection Moulding will be advantageous
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Team Work, and RED SEAL Certificate.
- Must have a Passport, Driver’s License, willing to Travel and able to work independently.
- Willing to do a Standby and Call Out, Own transport and own Tools.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Experience in Welding and Fabrication.
