Crabtree South Africa are seeking a qualified and experienced Metal Press Toolmaker who will be responsible for manufacturing, servicing and repairing of Metal Press tools.
This position will report to the Tool Room Manager, responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Sharpening, repairs and changeover of Metal Press tools
- Manufacturing, heat treatment of blocks and bushes
- Polishing of moulds
- Turning and cylindrical grinding would be advantageous
- Adhere to all Company health and safety requirements
- Perform all duties as per SEIFSA Main Agreement and other ad-hoc assignments as requested
The minimum requirements for this position are:
- N3 with trade theory, mathematics and technical drawing
- Red seal trade test certificate in Toolmaking
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in Metal Press environment
- Tooling/moulding, CNC Operator and Machining would be advantageous
- Must be willing to work overtime and shifts when required
- Team player, sober habits and hard worker
- Dependable and trustworthy
- Enthusiastic and able to work under pressure
- Ability to work without supervision
