Applications are invited for a qualified and experienced Toolmaker who will be responsible to work on and repair Press Tools, work and assist on Metal Fabrication/Press Shop with set-up of tools/settings.
This position will report to the Tool Room Manager, responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Manufacture jigs and work on the CNC machine.
- Sharpening, repairing tools and performing change overs.
- Work with Press Shop staff and assist with set-ups.
- Replacement of Press tools
- Adhere to all Company health and safety requirements.
- Perform all duties as per SEIFSA Main Agreement and other ad-hoc assignments as requested.
The minimum requirements for this position are:
- Trade Test Certificate in Toolmaking
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Metal Pressings environment
- Must be able to work on CNC Milling machine.
- Must be willing to work overtime and shifts if required.
- Team player, sober habits and hard worker
- Dependable and trustworthy
- Enthusiastic and able to work under pressure.
- Ability to work without supervision
